Calling all Net Impact Minneapolis Professional Chapter Members. 2015 is a great time to get more involved your Net Impact Chapter. Help us keep the momentum going from last year’s conference here in Minneapolis. We are working on an event around the living wage, the second round of the mentoring/career discovery program is about to kick-off, the GRI training is coming back, and we have a happy hour coming up with the MN Cup start-up competition. Join us April 29 to learn more about what is in the works, and to nominate yourself and get elected to serve on our Board of Directors!

Q: What type of entity is Net Impact Minneapolis Professional Chapter?
A: Net Impact Minneapolis is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit that works with the Net Impact national organization to give life to our shared mission: “To inspire, educate, and equip individuals to use the power of business to create a more socially and environmentally sustainable world.”
Q: What does the Board do?
A: In short, everything. We are a working Board, there is no staff, so everyone brings their passion for sustainability and pitches in to bring to life the board members ideas for events and initiatives. A few of the things we did over the past year: held an event on MN’s newly passed Benefit Corporation legislation, and B Corps, launched the sustainability mentoring program, held happy hour with the U.S. Green Building Council, Sustainability Speed Networking at Fulton, and lots of work on the national conference.
Q: How many people are on the Board?
A: There are 4 officers (president, vice president, treasurer, and secretary) and up to 9 at-large members for a maximum size of 13
Q: Who is eligible to serve on the Board?
A: Members in good standing are eligible to serve on the Board. This means you must be a member of the National Net Impact organization and have the Net Impact Minneapolis Professional Chapter designated as your chapter.
